Consuming a variety of fermented foods can promote a vast array of positive health benefits. Some benefits include restoring gut health, strengthening immunity, and boosting mood and energy levels. This is largely due to the healthy bacteria that thrive in fermented foods, acting as probiotics. Fermenting foods can also make the nutrients within that food more bio-available. If you don’t love the taste of fermented foods, The Mothers Blend is packed full of fermented goodness.

 

Serving Suggestions 

Enjoy 7.5g (1 ½ - 2 tsp) daily mixed in water, juice, smoothies, bliss balls, slices, or anything you please.

Some of the most popular ways to consume both The Mothers Blend and The Children’s Blend include: 

  • Simply Stir - Add serving to a glass, add water and stir. You can also opt for coconut water or pure juice (apple, pineapple, orange, etc) instead of water. Bear in mind, this method may not fully emulsify the powder, so please use the below methods to help fully emulsify the powder into a liquid
  • The Paste Method – add serving to a glass and add a tiny bit of water or juice to mix into a paste, then slowly add more water and continue to mix. This method should fully emulsify the powder into a drinkable silky liquid
  • The Shaker Method – add serving and liquid to a jar or a Foraged shaker and shake until fully emulsified
  • The Whizzy Stick –add serving to a glass and use a whizzy stick to blend. With water, juice, whatever you choose! 
  • Add to a smoothie – Blitz with your favourite smoothie ingredients and enjoy (see recipes below)
  • Stir into Yoghurt – Add to unsweetened yoghurt with berries or other fruit. You can also stir into cooked and cooled porridge
  • Gummies, Foraged choccy milkshake, bliss balls, marshmallows, raw slices… the list is endless!

 

Our Favorite Smoothy Recipe 

2 heaped tablespoons of Mothers Blend

Berries 

Banana 

kultured wellness coconut water kefir (or nut milk of choice)

kultured wellness coconut yogurt (or yogurt of choice)

collagen

colostrum

egg yolks 

MCT oil

cacao powder

nut butter (optional)

 

Low Sugar Option (great if managing candida)

Hot Tip

kids sometimes need a bit of extra sweetener to these recipes, we add a bit of honey to entice kids. 

Freeze leftovers in ice-block moulds for all to enjoy at a later stage. My kids don't always feel like a smoothy but will always say yes to an ice block.
